BIOSPHERE 2
1991
By the scientists from Biosphere 2
Biosphere 2 was a pioneering scientific project in Arizona that lasted two years. It was designed as a self-sustaining, closed ecological system. It aimed to study interactions within ecosystems and explore the viability of closed habitats for space colonization. The facility housed various biomes, including a rainforest, desert, and ocean, and provided valuable insights into environmental science and sustainability.
